Diabetes Millitus is a complex condition. It often runs in families, although by no means always. The condition is caused because the pancreas produces too little of the hormone insulin to break down sugars in the body. As a result, sugars are excreted in the urine. This causes great thirst and loss of weight and can after some time, result in cataracts in the eyes, or the development of chemicals called keytones in the blood. These, if allowed to accumulate, may lead to physical collapse and even coma.
Diabetes is generally treated through diet and insulin injections.
Can develop acute sinusitis most winters and tends to develop colds in
wet periods of the year and can be treated by an Acupuncturist and can
be treated by a Homeopath, people who suddenly develop diabetes at quite
an early age are likely to have to take insulin for a very long time, if
not for the rest of their lives.
The effects of any herbal medicine would have to be closely
monitored by testing blood sugar and urine sugar levels. Foods, the value
of whole foods are very important in the management of diabetes. Grains,
vegetables and fruit, which slow down the rise in levels of the sugar glucose
in the bloodstream and help prevent strain on insulin production. Of vital
importance would be to cut out all beer consumption, cut out caffeinated
drinks and eat at regular intervals, especially necessary if you are active
to prevent sugar levels from dropping.
